First Reconciliation Sacrament Announcement

First reconciliation sacrament is scheduled for Wednesday April 29, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Church. This is for all 1^st & 2^nd year Communion students.

First Communion Sacrament

The mass for First Holy Communion will be held on Saturday, May 2^nd in the Church. 

*10:00 a.m. English Mass (line up at 9:00 a.m.)

*1:00 p.m. Spanish Mass (line up at 12:00 p.m.)

We ask that children be on time in order to get their picture taken. Thank you!

First Communion Rehearsals

The rehearsals for First Communion will be held on Friday, May 1^st in the church; at 4:30 p.m. for the English mass and at 6:00 p.m. for the Spanish mass. Rehearsal is MANDATORY!

Father Kishor Vacation

Father Kishor will be unavailable to take appointments or celebrate weekday mass from May 4th- June 8th. 

*There will be English mass and confessions on Tuesdays.

The St. Vincent De Paul food distribution

will take place on Monday, May 4th at 10:00 a.m. outside of St. Joachim’s Parish Hall. If interested please bring an ID and proof of Newman residence.

Mass of anointing of the sick – May 1st, 2026

We will be having a Mass of Anointing of the Sick every 1st Friday of the month during the Spanish mass at 8am.

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick can be received by baptized Catholics who are seriously ill or weakened by old age, and who have reached the age of reason (usually around 7 years old). It is appropriate for those facing surgery, struggling with a physical or emotional illness, or nearing the end of life. Everyone is allowed to come forward who wants to, and there is no questioning of whether persons are seriously ill or not.

May is dedicated to the Blessed Mother.

On Mother’s Day weekend May 10th, please join us in offering a spiritual bouquet to Our Blessed Mother. Following each Mass, parishioners will be invited to write down their prayer intentions and offer them to Our Lady in thanksgiving for her motherly love and intercession. You will find a card box to drop them off in front of the statue of Our Lady beginning next weekend. If you would like to participate in adding to the decorations for Our Lady, please bring a flower with you to Mass that/next weekend, vases will be available in front of our Blessed Mother’s statue next to the Ambo. Also, if you would like to provide flowers for the Altars during the month of May in remembrance of family members, please contact the parish office or speak with Julie Velez for more information. As we celebrate the gift of mothers and honor Our Blessed Mother, we also recognize that Mother’s Day can be a difficult holiday for many. We hope this spiritual bouquet provides an opportunity to pray for the intentions brought to your heart by Mother’s Day.

We joyfully congratulate Bernice Arnett on successfully completing the Marriage Tribunal Aid Course certification.

This accomplishment reflects a beautiful commitment to serving the Church and supporting families with compassion, understanding, and faith. We are grateful for your dedication to our parish community and pray that God continues to bless you in this important ministry.

XV retreat 2026

If your daughter is to celebrate her XV mass at our parish, we now have the list of XV retreats for 2026. Please stop by the parish office for a registration form. We would like to remind you; XV retreats are a requirement for the mass celebration.

2026 Ceremonies and Mass Intentions 

Our book for Quinceañera/Wedding ceremonies or mass intentions for 2026, is now open. For reservations of Quinceañeras or Weddings, an appointment with Fr. Kishor needs to be made first. For any questions, please call the parish office.

Baptism Information 2026

-Spanish Baptism scheduled on the second Saturday of each month.

-English baptism scheduled on the third Saturday of each month.

NO baptisms will be celebrated during Lent, in the month of May or during Advent. Please call the parish office to register for baptismal class.
